GMAT Frequently Asked Questions

Do all Daniels Masters Degrees require the GMAT?
The only programs that do not require the GMAT are the Executive MBA, the Masters of Science in Marketing programs, and the Masters of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management.

Can I retake the GMAT and submit the score with the same application?
You may retake the GMAT and submit the new score with the  same application for admission. We will u se the highest  socre when reviewing your file for admission. We do not average multiple scores.

I have already earned a graduate degree. Do I still need to submit the GMAT?
If you have already completed a graduate degree, we will waive the GMAT requirement. If the degree was earned outside of the U.S., it must be the equivalent of a U.S. graduate degree. We will waive the GMAT requirement after we receive an official transcript showing that your graduate degree was conferred. Candidates holding a previously earned graduate degree who wish to be considered for scholarships/assistantships will be required to submit the GMAT.

How many years is a GMAT score good for?
We will accept GMAT scores that are no more than five years old.

I have significant work experience. Do I still have to take the GMAT?
The GMAT will not be waived for candidates with significant work experience.

I am applying to the joint program with DU's Sturm College of Law: MBA/JD, IMBA/JD, MS-RECM/JD. Can I submit the LSAT in place of the GMAT?

The LSAT cannot be used as a substitute for the GMAT. Prospective students must apply and be accepted to both the Sturm College of Law and Daniels College of Business separately.
